The introduction of the e5 Teacher Instructional Model has provided a wonderful opportunity for Karen and Amanda to offer their particular areas of expertise and their style of learning facilitation in support of Principal Class Officers and classroom teachers. They believe that the successful implementation of e5 will require those involved in the education of our children to bring to bear, and build upon, all of their existing knowledge as they use this model to raise the bar on teacher instructional practice in Victoria.

Karen and Amanda have recently facilitated e5 Instructional Model workshops for all of the Principal Class Officers (PCO) in Eastern Metropolitan Region (EMR). These were very well received (see feedback). These workshops aim to develop the confidence of school leaders to use the language and intent of e5 effectively in their instructional rounds, learning walks and professional discussions with staff.
Following on from the PCO days, we are about to facilitate Train the Trainer (TTT) workshops for leading teachers in 8 of the 10 EMR Networks. These EMR TTT workshops will run from Term 4 2009 to Term 3 of 2010 and will look in depth at each Domain in the e5 model - going into the skills, knowledge and behaviours required by teachers - culminating in strategies for peer collaboration/feedback (using e5) across classrooms and schools (learning walks and instructional rounds).
